About the Artist
I’m Tammy Campbell, award-winning fine artist and founder of Black Diamond Studio in Clarkston, Michigan. My work is rooted in the belief that art should shine with life, depth, and reflection. Using a blend of fine art training and a unique creative process, I incorporate precious gemstones, texture, and light into every piece I create.
Each artwork is intentionally designed to capture transformation — a reminder that brilliance often comes from within. When light touches my pieces, the gems come alive, reflecting new colors, shapes, and perspectives. It’s this ever-changing dialogue between art and viewer that inspires my work.
My Approach
Every piece begins with a story — a spark of inspiration, a symbol of resilience, or a celebration of beauty. I then layer textures and materials, embedding over twenty hand-selected gemstones that glimmer under shifting light. No two works are ever alike. Each is a one-of-a-kind expression, created to bring light, strength, and meaning into its space.
Inspiration
I am inspired by the brilliance of natural elements and the strength of human stories. My art is as much about inner growth as it is about external beauty. Each gem reflects the resilience, transformation, and spark that lives inside us all.
